What does bird reserve mean?

Bird Reserve holds items for pickup and purchase. Palmer’s will make every effort to fulfill your order, but please note that, like many industries, Palmer’s is reacting and responding to an unsteady supply chain. There may be factors out of our control that limit our ability to fulfill a preorder. We’ll do our best to communicate any changes or issues as early as possible.
Where do the birds come from?

What are the benefits of a fresh turkey?

According to the USDA, fresh turkeys have to be stored at 26 degrees Fahrenheit or above; frozen turkeys have to be stored at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Fresh turkeys retain moisture which helps for a more even and reliable heat transfer while cooking. Because of this, fresh turkeys can cook slightly faster than their frozen counterparts, so be sure to check for doneness using a reliable thermometer.

During transport, fresh turkeys shipped in close quarters may hold on to cold temperatures, causing their outside layers to feel hard or frozen to the touch.
