Ingredients
4–6 Certified Angus Beef® Denver Steaks
Salt and black pepper, to taste
½ cup butter, softened
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon fresh thyme
Instructions
1. Prepare the Steaks:
- Season both sides of each Denver steak generously with salt and black pepper. Set aside.
2. Make the Creole Butter:
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, chili powder, smoked paprika, and fresh thyme. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Set aside.
3. Grill the Steaks:
- Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 3 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust cooking time if you prefer a different level of doneness.
4. Rest and Serve:
- Once grilled, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
- Top each steak with a generous dollop of the Creole butter. Slice the steaks and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve these flavorful steaks with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. The Creole butter adds a delicious spicy kick that pairs well with many side dishes.
