Ingredients

Scale

6 frozen lobster tails

2 lb cooked lobster meat

12 oz shredded cheddar cheese

1 lb shredded gruyere cheese

1 lb farfalle pasta (bowtie pasta)

1 stick salted butter, cubed

2 cups Italian breadcrumbs

1 small carrot, shredded

1 small zucchini, shredded

0.25 cup parsley, chopped

0.25 stick salted butter, melted

0.25 tsp cayenne pepper

0.5 tsp celery salt

0.5 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp black pepper

Additional salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta in lightly salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Make Cheese Sauce: In a large pot, bring heavy cream to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Add gruyere and 8 oz of the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted. Add 3/4 stick of cubed butter, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir continuously until the butter is melted. Add cooked lobster meat and remove from heat.

3. Combine Pasta and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pasta with the cheese sauce until well incorporated.

4. Prepare Breadcrumb Topping: Mix breadcrumbs with the remaining melted butter and remaining cheddar cheese.

5. Assemble and Bake: Divide the macaroni mixture into oven-safe crocks or gratin dishes. Generously coat the tops with the breadcrumb mixture. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

6. Cook Lobster Tails: Season lobster tails with salt, pepper, and paprika. Grill until cooked through or bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.

7. Serve: Place each crock of mac & cheese on a plate next to a cooked lobster tail. Garnish with shredded carrot, zucchini, and parsley. Drizzle with melted butter and enjoy!

Notes

Cooking Tip: Ensure the lobster meat is fully cooked before adding to the cheese sauce.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.

Optional Garnish: Add a sprinkle of fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon for added freshness.
