1 lb dry sea scallops

1 tbsp capers

4 tbsp salted butter, divided

1 garlic clove, minced

2 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare Scallops: Pat the scallops dry and remove the connector muscle if necessary. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Sear Scallops: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over high heat. Add the scallops and sear for two minutes on each side, turning only once. Transfer the scallops to a serving plate and cover to keep warm.

3. Make Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute, until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and capers.

4. Serve: Spoon the brown butter caper sauce over the seared scallops. Serve immediately and enjoy!
