Marinated to perfection and grilled to your desired doneness, these steaks are ideal for a special dinner or backyard barbecue.

4 (14-16 ounce) Certified Angus Beef ® T-bone steaks

1 cup bourbon

1 orange, zested and juiced

1/4 teaspoon bitters

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1/4 cup water

2 teaspoons whole black peppercorns

3 teaspoons kosher salt, divided

Instructions

1. Prepare Marinade: Combine bourbon, orange zest and juice, bitters, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, water, peppercorns, and 2 teaspoons of salt in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and reduce the marinade by half over medium-low heat.

2. Cool Marinade: Cool the marinade completely (below 40°F). Pour into a 1-gallon zipper-locking plastic bag along with the T-bone steaks. Marinate for 2-4 hours, flipping once.

3. Preheat Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

4. Grill Steaks: Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare (125-130°F internal temperature) or until the desired doneness is reached.

5. Rest and Serve: Allow the steaks to rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon of salt and serve.

Notes

Marinating Time: For best results, marinate the steaks for at least 2 hours, flipping them halfway through to ensure even flavor.

Resting Time: Allowing the steaks to rest helps retain their juices, making them more flavorful and tender.

Pairing Suggestion: Serve with grilled vegetables and a glass of bourbon or a bold red wine to complement the flavors of the marinade.
